(For previous Mexico News Report articles on the topic, see&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/mexiconewsreport.com\/index.php\/2024\/09\/14\/cartel-factions-fight-it-out-in-sinaloa-state-what-is-amlos-response\/\">here<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/mexiconewsreport.com\/index.php\/2024\/09\/20\/at-least-30-killed-in-sinaloa-cartel-violence-but-president-elect-doesnt-want-to-start-a-war\/\">here<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/mexiconewsreport.com\/index.php\/2024\/09\/22\/sinaloa-violence-continues-over-100-dead-or-missing\/\">here<\/a> ,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/mexiconewsreport.com\/index.php\/2024\/10\/14\/ocelotl-the-mexican-armys-new-armored-vehicle\/\">here<\/a> and  <a href=\"https:\/\/mexiconewsreport.com\/index.php\/2024\/10\/16\/culiacan-sinaloa-drug-war-has-changed-life-for-the-locals-even-talking-on-a-cellphone-can-be-a-death-sentence\/\">here<\/a> ).   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The violence erupted September 9th and pits one faction led by the son of \u201cEl Mayo\u201d Zambada  vs. the&nbsp;<em>Chapitos<\/em>, sons of \u201cEl Chapo\u201d Guzman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Information from the <a href=\"https:\/\/regtechtimes.com\/mexico-deploys-special-forces-to-sinaloa-amid\/\">November 28th Regtech Times<\/a> article:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Death Toll:  &#8220;At least 409 homicides related to cartel activity&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Disappearances:  Hundreds missing; in the capital Culiacan 150 have disappeared from September 1st to October 30th.  A few of them have turned up alive, others have been found dead.  According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.latintimes.com\/mexico-sends-dozens-special-forces-troops-sinaloa-bid-counter-ongoing-cartel-violence-567237\">another<\/a> article published the 27th of November, there were 154 disappearances in Culiacan, of which 33 turned up alive with another 14 found dead, which would leave 107 still missing.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>University Suspends In-Person Classes &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/regtechtimes.com\/mexico-deploys-special-forces-to-sinaloa-amid\/#google_vignette\">Regtech<\/a> reported that The <em>Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Sinaloa<\/em> (Autonomous University of Sinaloa), the UAS, has suspended in-person classes on their Culiacan and Navolato campuses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Attack on Military Installation &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/regtechtimes.com\/mexico-deploys-special-forces-to-sinaloa-amid\/#google_vignette\">Regtech<\/a>: &#8220;One of the most notable acts of destruction took place when cartel members attacked the C4\/ISR center in Sinaloa, a high-tech military facility used for communications and surveillance.  Cartel members destroyed over 80 video cameras and other surveillance equipment that were crucial for the security operations in the state.  This attack was seen as a direct challenge to the government&#8217;s control over the region.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Military Deployments &#8211; There are now hundreds of military personnel in the state. The latest deployment is of 100 Special Forces being sent to the state.
