{"id":1624,"date":"2024-12-30T06:59:50","date_gmt":"2024-12-30T06:59:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mexiconewsreport.com\/?p=1624"},"modified":"2024-12-30T07:05:17","modified_gmt":"2024-12-30T07:05:17","slug":"fifth-largest-employer-in-mexico-the-drug-cartels","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mexiconewsreport.com\/index.php\/2024\/12\/30\/fifth-largest-employer-in-mexico-the-drug-cartels\/","title":{"rendered":"Fifth-Largest Employer in Mexico: The Drug Cartels!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>It&#8217;s important for jobs to be created in Mexico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But what if criminal gangs are one of the biggest employers in the country?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A recent study has found that, taken collectively, the Mexican drug cartels are now the fifth largest employer in Mexico. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zmescience.com\/feature-post\/pieces\/the-math-behind-why-mexicos-cartel-war-is-a-never-ending-nightmare\/\">ZME Science<\/a><\/em>:  <strong>&#8220;Mexican cartels now boast an estimated 175,000 members, making them the fifth largest employer in Mexico, right between the grocery chain Oxxo and telecoms company Am\u00e9rica M\u00f3vil.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Look at chart B, which shows the eleven biggest employers in Mexico.
