In the just-concluded calendar year 2025, three babies were born in the Metro system. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

All 3 were born to young mothers. According to Excelsior<\/a>, one mother was 21 years of age, another was 17 years of age, and one of the mothers was 13 years of age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

None of the three actually gave birth on a moving train car, but in stations<\/a> of the Metro system. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the year, assistance was provided to 163 pregnant women in the Metro system. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s been reported that babies born on the Metro receive the right to ride free the rest of their lives, but according to a statement<\/a> by the Metro reported in 2024, that’s not correct. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
