In the middle of May <a href=\"https:\/\/mexiconewsreport.com\/index.php\/2026\/05\/15\/where-is-ruben-rocha\/\">it was reported<\/a> that despite his leave of absence he was still involved in the governance of Sinaloa. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last month, <a href=\"https:\/\/mexiconewsreport.com\/index.php\/2026\/07\/22\/is-ruben-rocha-the-big-fish-of-the-sinaloa-ten-going-to-surrender-to-u-s-authorities\/\">it was reported that Rocha was negotiating<\/a> for a possible surrender to U.S. authorities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But now, Rocha has returned to his post as governor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/americas\/mexican-governor-accused-by-us-cartel-ties-returns-office-2026-08-21\/\">Reuters<\/a><\/em>:  <strong>&#8220;The governor of Mexico&#8217;s Sinaloa state, Ruben Rocha Moya, returned to office on Friday [August 21] after taking leave for more \u200cthan three months following U.S. drug trafficking charges, a move likely to deepen strains between Mexico and the United States.   Rocha, 77, a member of Mexico&#8217;s ruling Morena party, said in a statement posted on X that he was resuming his duties with a &#8216;clear conscience&#8217; and his &#8216;head held high.&#8217;  The development marks a remarkable turnaround for Rocha, who has not only avoided, for now, \u200bextradition to the United States but has also reclaimed the governor&#8217;s office.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ruben Rocha, the Biggest Fish of the Sinaloa Ten, has returned from his leave of absence to his post as governor of Sinaloa.
