The Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez is a race track in Mexico City, owned by the city of Mexico City, but operated under concession by OCESA, a subsidiary of the Corporación Interamericana de Entretenimiento (CIE). It was first constructed in 1959 and in 1979 was renamed after the Rodriguez Brothers, Ricardo and Pedro, Mexican race car drivers who both died racing.
Here’s a diagram of the circuit at the track:

On June 15th, 2025, NASCAR held a Cup Series Race (its highest level), for points, at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez. (See here, here and here).
On November 1st, 2026, the Formula 1 Mexico City Grand Prix was won by Max Verstappen, who is half-Dutch and half-Belgian.
Second place went to Sir Lewis Hamilton of the United Kingdom.
Third place went to Italian Kimi Antonelli, who actually had garnered enough points from the season to be named the 2026 Formula 1 World Drivers’ Champion. At 20 years of age, Antonelli is the youngest ever to claim this title.
Here’s a photo of the three. Verstappen and Hamilton were good sports and hoisted Antonelli up.
